Dear Friends of Counseling Care,

We have the boldness to write a spring appeal letter at a time when so many people's budgets are tight. We are asking only because others are in need of your support or they would go without mental health treatment.

Counseling Care and Services is, if not unique, a rare phenomenon. We provide professional counseling and care to persons, regardless of their ability to pay. Whether they have generous insurance coverage (which is quite rare) or none at all, they are welcome here. History and our own experience tells us that in times of financial difficulty, as the price of bread and gasoline and other essentials rise, stress will take its toll. More adults will need assistance dealing with anxiety and depression; children will need help coping with unmet expectations and perhaps changes in their home life; and without effective intervention, domestic violence will increase.

Since 1984 when CCS opened its doors, we have provided high-quality services to school-age children, adults, families, and couples. We continue to address the many individual, family and social issues that challenge people every day. Through our Board of Directors for the past several years, we have honored at an annual gathering local individuals whose leadership and compassion have enriched our community. We will continue our work and continue to grow because of the love, encouragement and support we receive from our friends.
